Obituary

Mr. George A. Blaine, of Exeter, New Hampshire, formerly a longtime resident of Andover Ma. and beloved husband of the late Joan E. (Krohn) passed away at the Lawrence General Hospital on Tuesday afternoon, August 11, 2015. He was 85 years old.
Born in Lawrence on February 16, 1930, he was the beloved son of the late Frederick and Caroline (Wilson) Blaine. George was a Korean Navy Veteran, serving twice and receiving two honorable discharges. While in the military, Mr. Blaine served aboard the USS Caloosahatchee and attained the rank of Petty Officer, 1st class.
In civilian life, Mr. Blaine was a Mechanical Engineer and was also a self employed contractor in Andover and the surrounding communities. George was also a professionally trained singer and entertainer. He performed at many benefit shows for the elderly and the mentally challenged. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law; Dale A. and his wife Marcia A. Blaine of Hampstead, New Hampshire, daughter; Sue-Ellen Blaine of Ashville, North Carolina, three grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held in the West Parish Garden Cemetery, 129 Reservation Road, Andover on Tuesday the 18th at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. For additional information, please visit, www.burkemagliozzi.com.
