Dante Picciano age 90 of Stoughton, formerly of Bridgewater passed away August 12th at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Ariele Chieti, Italy, he came to the United States in 1956. Dante, along with his wife Carmela and his children, Maria and Roberto, were survivors of the Andrea Doria when it sunk off the coast of Nantucket in 1956. He worked as a Carpenter for Perini Construction Management in Framingham and J.F. White in Braintree before retiring. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. His three daughters, Maria, Lisa and Diana have operated Dante 3 Hair Studio in Norwood for the past 33 years. Beloved husband of the late Carmela (Silveri). Father of Maria Gramm of Stoughton, Roberto Picciano and his wife Allison of Medford, Lisa Schwartz and her husband David of Norton and Diana DeMelis and her husband Richard of Stoughton. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Sunday 4-8 pm. Funeral from the funeral home Monday morning at 9:30 followed by a funeral mass at the Immaculate Conception Church Stoughton at 10:30 am. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
