Obituary

TAUNTON - Pamela J. “Pam” (DeWitt) Castro of Taunton passed away on Aug. 10, 2015 after a short illness.
She was 68.
Born on Nov. 23, 1946 in Teaneck, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Leonard “Jack” and Elizabeth (St. John) DeWitt.
Pam graduated from Hofstra University with a BS in psychology and was awarded a Masters of Social Work from the University of Connecticut.
Following her retirement as a Clinical Director in 2006, Pam and her husband spent time camping across the United States and Canada.
Together, they visited all 50 states and traveled extensively overseas visiting Europe, the Middle East and Morocco.
A devoted wife and mother, Pam most loved her husband, children, grandchildren and spending time at Kemah Lake, New Jersey.
An avid reader, she enjoyed knitting, crossword puzzles and solitaire.
Pam is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Richard; sons, Chad, Todd and his wife Sarah, and Kitt and his wife Emilie; five grandchildren; and many wonderful friends and family.
Memorial Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Thursday, Aug. 20th at 7:45 p.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
The family will be receiving visitors from 5 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. prior to the services.
A private burial is planned.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Pam’s name to the Taunton Public Library or the Sussex County Library of Newton, New Jersey.
