Beatriz (Medeiros) Carvalho, age 92, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on August 11, 2015. Born in São Miguel Açores, she was the daughter of the late Henrique Botelho, and Maria Dos Anjos (Medeiros) Medeiros and wife of the late José M. Carvalho. She was a garment presser for various garment companies in Fall River, a communicant of St. Michael’s Church where she was member of the Holy Ghost and Holy Rosary Society, and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children; José A. Carvalho (wife Helena), Maria Da Graca Furtado (husband Duarte), and Antonio Carvalho; brother: Alberto Medeiros; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; nephew: Rev. Luciano Pereira; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Palmira Pereira, Gilda Botelho, Conceicão Sousa, Albertina Pacheco, Fernandinha De Almeida, and Henrique Medeiros.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Saturday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours on Friday from 4-8 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com.
