Smith, David F. of Dedham passed unexpectedly in his sleep on August 8. Graduate of Dedham High School class of 1975, Northeastern University and Babson MBA. Retail real estate developer and consultant; Former employee of Pyramid Co., General Growth and Strategic Retail Advisors.
Dave was a free spirit, had a bellowing laugh and enjoyed a lively conservation. He was an avid reader, hiker, kayaker and truly enjoyed the simple things in life. He would often be seen jogging around town with a couple of dogs in tow. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Son of the late Lawrence and Gertrude Smith, brother of Larry & wife Carole of Revere, Bob & wife Debbie, Steve & wife Karen, Kathy & husband Joe Murray , and Barbara Smith and Christine Smith all of Dedham. Uncle Dave took special joy and pride in being a part of his nieces and nephews lives and celebrating their accomplishments.
In honor of Dave’s memory, enjoy a walk in the woods and take in the beauty. Gone too soon, we trust that he is taking wonder in his new home in Heaven.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons, Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St. Dedham, Friday at 10am, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary Church, Dedham at 11am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Thursday from 4-8pm. Interment Private.
