TEWKSBURY - Joyce Barbara Becker, age 63, died peacefully August 9th at the Sherrill House in Jamaica Plain, after a courageous fight with cancer.
She was born in Buffalo, NY, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Evelyn (Aberle) Becker, but was raised in Brookline, MA, where she graduated from Brookline High School. She earned a degree from Suffolk University in Boston. She raised her sons in Tewksbury, but had lived in Haverhill for the past 15 years.
She was known for her love of tennis, and her devotion to her boys and her granddaughters.
She leaves her sons, Brian M. Banusiewicz and his wife Holly (Arcand) of Beverly, and Jason M. Banusiewicz of Revere; two beloved granddaughters, Madeleine “Maddie” and Lily; and her former husband, Michael F. Banusiewicz.
A Memorial Service and visiting hours will be held Saturday, August 15, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts.
