TAUNTON – Doris (Souza) Camara, wife of the late Joseph Camara, entered into eternal rest on Aug. 8, 2015 at her Taunton home with her family by her side.
She was 86.
Born and raised in Norton, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Moniz) Souza.
Mrs. Camara had resided in Taunton for many years.
A retired cake decorator, she was last employed by Roche Brothers, where she worked until the age of 81.
She was a former member of the St. Anthony Holy Rosary Sodality.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph “Dennis” Camara and his wife Annie of Taunton and David J. Camara and his wife Carolyn of East Taunton; two daughters, Theresa C. Camara of Fall River and Elizabeth C. Camara of Taunton; a brother, Adelino Souza of Norton; two sisters, Eldora Souza and Beatrice DeOliveira, both of Florida; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Frank, Joseph and Mario Souza, Rose Melim, Mary Serras and Alice Andrade.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway Taunton on Wednesday, Aug. 12th at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary’s Church, Norton at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
The family will be receiving visitors from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. prior to the funeral mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
