Carol A. Barbieri (Gordon) of Stoughton, formerly of Canton and Readville died unexpectedly Friday August 7, 2015, following a brief illness. She was 79 years old.
Devoted wife of the late Joseph P. Barbieri Jr. Loving mother of Lisa L. Quinn and her husband Bill of Canton, and Jill R. MacKenzie and her husband Eric of Stoughton. Loving sister of the late Patricia M. Gordon. Proud grandmother of Ryan and Leah MacKenzie.
Carol graduated from Hyde Park High Class of 1952 and followed by 2 years at Fisher Junior College. She was employed at Allied Container prior to her marriage, then obtained her real estate broker’s license which led to a career in real estate spanning almost 50 years. She was most recently employed by Keller-Williams Realty in Canton. Carol was an accomplished pianist, taking first prize in a radio contest in the early 1950s for her performance of “Flight of the Bumblebee”. She continued to play for her family for many years encouraging both her children and grandchildren to take piano lessons.
Visiting hours Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 4-8 in the Roache-Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman St., Canton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church 700 Washington St., Canton. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery West Roxbury.
