Frank J. Dudley Sr., age 87 of Haverhill passed away gently and peacefully in his home surrounded by family on August 6, 2015. Frank was born on March 29, 1928 in Methuen to the late William Sr. and Edna (King) Dudley. Mr. Dudley was a successful auto mechanic and owner of Dudley and Greenwood in Lawrence. With his beloved wife Patricia, they established Crystal Farm in Haverhill in 1960. Frank assisted his wife raising and training thoroughbreds, racing at Rockingham Park and Suffolk Downs. Among the many qualities he possessed were love, kindness, patience, honesty and generosity. The loves of his life were his wife, family, and the farm. He was a Parishioner of All Saints Parish.
Frank was the loving husband of the late Patricia (Kennett) Dudley. He was the devoted father of Jimmy Dudley (Frank Jr). and his wife Martha, Robert M. Dudley and his wife Polly, Carol A. Szpuk and her husband Mike and Nancy O’Neill and her husband Randy. Mr. Dudley was the dear brother of Elizabeth Labrecque, Marion Sharkey, Edward “Buddy” Dudley, the late Donald Dudley, the late William Dudley Jr., the late Eugene Dudley, the late Matilda Blais and the late Albert Dudley. Frank was the beloved grandfather of Melissa Dudley, Kerry Dudley, Casey O’Neill, and Thomas O’Neill. He was also the cherished great grandfather of Phoenix.
Per the family request, calling hours will be private. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM at All Saints Parish, 120 Bellevue Ave. Haverhill. Interment to follow at a later date.
