Obituary

Pauline J. Riendeau 79 of Mendon Rd. died August 7, 2015 at Landmark Medical Center. She was the loving wife for 56 years of Emile Riendeau. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Herve “Chic” and Theresa (Pelissier) Gagnon. Pauline was a homemaker for most of her life. She was the Woonsocket’s Queen of Mardi Gras in 1957. Many of you know her as “Ladybird”, a frequent caller on WNRI. Pauline enjoyed collecting stamps and bells, and her flower garden. She was an avid Red Sox fan. She loved scrap booking with her grandchildren.

Besides her husband she leaves a son Donald Riendeau and his wife Deborah of Woonsocket, a daughter Barbara Johnson and her husband Leonard of Douglas, MA, eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St, Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Monday 5-8 p.m.
