Obituary

Born April 27, 1960 in Beloit, WI, the son of Charles and Sandra Shimeall, he was a 1978 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School and graduated from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a B.A. degree in Business Administration.

Tim was self-employed as a software developer in the Twin Cities. He was a member of Transfiguration Catholic Church in Oakdale. Tim was active as a coach for girls basketball, women’s softball and most recently for his son’s high school lacrosse summer traveling team. He also volunteered his time with Big Brothers, Special Olympics and Little Brothers-Friends of the Elderly. He touched the lives of hundreds of youngsters with his compassion, ability to develop fundamental sport skills and team building.

Tim enjoyed the outdoors that included his daily walks, boating and fishing and looked forward to his Sunday evening basketball games.

Survivors include his two children Lindsey Shimeall and Andrew Shimeall of Maplewood, MN, brothers Clayton Shimeall (Ann) of Cedar Falls, IA and Daniel (Nancy) Shimeall of Madison, WI, sister Sue Shimeall of North Grafton, MA, former wife Ann O’Fallon Shimeall, several nieces and nephews. Tim was predeceased by his parents and grandparents.

A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2015 in Transfiguration Catholic Church, 6133 15th St North Oakdale, MN with Fr. Bill Baer officiating. Cremation burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2015 in St Mary’s Cemetery located 2980 North Helen Street (Lydia Ave), North St. Paul. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2015 in the Sandberg Funeral Home, 2593 E. 7th Ave, North St. Paul, MN, and one hour prior to Mass at church.

The Family thanks Abbott Northwestern Hospital, J.A. Wedum Hospice and The Pillars Hospice for their support and compassionate care.

Memorials may be given in Tim’s name to the The Pillars Hospice Home in Oakdale, MN or the Tartan Lacrosse Association in Oakdale, MN.
