Evelyn Janet (Torres) Alvarado, 56, a resident of Andover, MA, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House surrounded by her family.
Born in Coamo, Puerto Rico, Evelyn moved to Geneva, New York in 1968 and then to Lawrence, MA. in 1975. She was a graduate of Salem High School. Evelyn had worked for over 15 years at AT&T / Lucent Technologies in North Andover, MA. In 2002, she graduated from Blaine Cosmetology School and enjoyed doing hairdressing and nails.

A son: Alfredo Torres and his fiance Cidalia Luis of Lawrence, MA, 2 daughters: Joselyn J. Pastor and her husband Carlos A. Pastor of Methuen, MA, and Venessa L. Alvarado of Salem, NH, 5 grandchildren: Carlos, Tomas, Yasmine, Gabriella and Anthony as well as many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Celebration of Life services will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, also in Lawrence, MA. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, August 10, 2015 from 5 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
