Michael T. Smith, 61, of Litchfield, NH passed away unexpectedly on August 3, 2015 at CMC in Manchester. He was born in Nashua, NH, on March 28, 1954 and was the son of the late Francis T. and Jeanne (Villemure) Smith. He was a graduate of Manchester Memorial High School and was a lifelong resident of Litchfield.
Michael was a mechanic during his working life, following in his father’s footsteps. He loved fast cars, motorcycles and snowmobiles. He was an accomplished marksman and loved fishing in Canada with his family and friends. He overcame a severe head injury in 1990 and spent the rest of his days in the company of his family, where he enjoyed a good game of cards, music and his motorcycle magazines. He could often be seen taking a walk to visit the garages next door.
Uncle Mike leaves behind eight nieces and nephews, their families and his two sisters: Suzanne Patenaude and her husband John of Hudson, NH and Joanne Giles of Litchfield.
After cremation, Michael will be laid to rest with his dad in Hillcrest Cemetery of Litchfield, by his loved ones on a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: The American Heart Association, Heart Gift Processing Center, PO Box 3049 Syracuse, NY 13220.
