Ann R. Hattman
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, August 3, 2015, Mrs. Ann “MeMe” Rhodes Hattman, who was preceded in death by: her husband Louis Hattman and previous husband Thomas Wayne Rhodes, her parents: Marjorie Menger Smith and John Thomas Menger.
Mrs. Hattman is a member of Hephzibah United Methodist Church and served as a volunteer at Doctors Hospital for 18 years. She loved her family, cooking and teaching people to love one another, and her faithful pets Buddy and Precious. Mrs. Hattman is a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Martinez Chapter #464.
Family members include her son: Paul (Sharon) Bennett; daughters: Donna Newman, Teresa Nunnaley; sister: Margie Moxley; grandchildren: Monica Bennett, Anthony Bennett, Samuel (Angel) Jordan, Robert (Erika) Jordan, Miriah Nunnaley, and Laura Ann Rodriguez; great grandchildren: Dylan Mobley, Bryson Gunn, Cassie Jordan, Kayce Jordan, Alanah Jordan, Jaelyn Jordan, Ethan Siryer, Iris Binuya, and Carson Bennett; step-children: Joseph Ronald (Cynthia) Bennett, Elaine (Bob) Freeville, and Douglas Bennett.
Many thanks to her best friends Lorraine Velero and Harry Gandy who supported the family though out tough times and Stephanie Johnson for her wonderful caregiving.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 7, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son with Rev. Gale Siebert officiating. Burial will follow at Hephzibah Vance Cemetery.
