Obituary

Philippa (Seidensticker) Glines, 92, of Berlin, passed away on Tuesday August 4, 2015 at her home. She was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada on March 4, 1923 the daughter of Reverend Walter and Olga (Hrbacek) Seidensticker and came to the US as an infant. She spent her early years in Oklahoma and Wisconsin and served with the US Navy. After her discharge, she married Roland Glines and moved to Bethel, ME where she resided until she moved to Berlin in 2000. She owned and operated the Red Rooster Motel in Bethel, ME for 23 years. Philippa was an artist, seamstress, dress maker and enjoyed gardening and skiing with her family.

Family includes her children Heidi Glines of Berlin, NH, Gregory Glines and wife Sara of Randolph, NH and Kristin (Glines) Cooke and husband Robert of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren Mark Glines, Kevin Glines, Charity Winters, Jesse Cook, Nicholas Cook and Mathais Cook; 9 great grandchildren; brother Stephen Seidensticker of San Diego, CA; sisters Leah Leyrer of Milwaukee, WI and Charlotte Rausch of Milwaukee, WI. She was predeceased by her husband Roland Glines and sisters Veronica French and Margaret Schneider.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church at a later date. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Bethel, ME.
