Michael J. Augusta, 66, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015 at his home in Methuen.
Born May 29, 1949 to the late Anthony and Alice (Andrade) Augusta raised and educated in Lawrence.
In his younger years he worked in retail and shipping and receiving. Before his retirement he was a bar- tender in local clubs. He enjoyed music especially the Beatles and 1950’s music. He also loved writing poetry, puzzle solving .and an avid New England sports fan.
Survived by his wife of 30 years Sandra (Beaumont) Augusta, sons Michael A. Augusta, James Augusta and his wife Rosa, Dana Denton and his wife Terri, also 9 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Siblings brothers Anthony and Joseph Augusta, sister Alice Curtis, and also survived by many other many family members on both sides.
Predeceased by brothers: John, David, and William Augusta.
A funeral service will take place on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 11:00AM at the funeral home at 122 Amesbury St. in Lawrence. A burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
