Obituary

James M. "Jim" Moysey, a 20 year resident of Winthrop and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life at his home in Winthrop following a valiant and courageous battle with ALS on Saturday, August 1, 2015. He was 71 years old.

Jim was born in Boston on November 8, 1943, a son of the late Henry Moysey and Catherine (McGonagle) Moysey. He grew up in Somerville where he was educated in the Somerville Public School system and graduated from Somerville High School in 1961. Jim worked as a machanist for 25 years with the W.J. Roberts Company in Saugus and previously with Cambridge Machine Products in Somerville.

Jim is the beloved husband for 47 years to Maureen L. (Doherty) Moysey. He is the loving father of James H. Moysey and his wife Maura Flaherty of Brighton. He is the dear uncle of Sheila Sweeney of Winthrop, Patricia Doherty Hennessey of Seabrook, New Hampshire and several other nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jim's Funeral on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 10 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by his Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church, 320 Winthrop St. Winthrop at 11:30 A.M. His burial will be at Winthrop Cemetery in Winthrop. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
