Fall River – Glenn Christopher Owens, Sr., age 65, passed away on Saturday August 1, 2015 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the loving husband of the late Cheryl May (Grace) Owens and the son of the late Velvia Lee (Greene) and Daniel Webster Owens.
Glenn was born in Newark, NJ and after moving to this area, worked for the Water Department for the City of New Bedford and also was a Counselor.
He is survived by his beloved Michelle Bergeron. His family includes his 3 children: Glenn Christopher Owens, Jr., Taiice Lashonze Owens and Ebony Owens; also predeceased by Justin Reed Downey; 8 grandchildren: Tahlib Owens, Caleb Owens, Jahleil Owens, Tajai Owens, Tearani Owens, Elijah Owens, Jacob Owens and Jordan Owens; 3 sisters: Donna Owens, Patricia Owens and the late Shirley Owens.
Mr. Owens will be cremated. A service will be held in the funeral home on Monday August 10th from 5-8 P.M. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, MA.
