Grace M. (Barrett) Barton, 97, of New Bedford died July 31, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Harold W. Barton.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Thomas G. and Lillian (Hayford) Barrett, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Her family would like to thank the girls at Home Instead for the compassionate care that Grace received from them.
Survivors include her brother, Norman Barrett of Dartmouth; 5 grandchildren, Christopher Barton, Debra DeMello, Scott Barton, Patrick Barton and Deidre Barton; 5 great-grandchildren, Quincy Barton, Grant Barton, Tyler Barton, Jonathan Barton and Ryder Barton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Russell Barton and David Barton and the sister of the late Thomas Barrett and Kathleen Ohmens.
Her family will receive guests on Thursday, August 6th from 10:30-11:30 AM followed by her Funeral Service at 11:30 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
