Obituary

Mr. Anthony R. Vaccaro, a lifelong resident of Boston’s North End, passed away suddenly in Quincy on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. He was 69 years old.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on November 25, 1945, he was the beloved son of the late Antonio and Anna (Palange) Vaccaro. Mr. Vaccaro was a Master Electrician and had been employed by the Boston City Hospital for more than 30 years and also worked for the Boston Clerk of Works. A longtime member of the K of C in the North End, Anthony was also a member of the Sons of Italy in Winchester. In his spare time, he enjoyed signing Karaoke and especially being with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.
He was the loving brother of Marie C. “Ree” and her late husband Carlo Abruzzio of Revere, Nicholas A. “Iggy” Vaccaro of Medford, Dolores C. “Lola” and her husband James E. Bonfilio of Winchester, Anna L. “Babe” and her husband Ivan Molina of Boston’s North End, Carmella “Chickie” Lynch and James Cali, both of Stoneham and Salvatore and his wife Charlene Vaccaro of Canton. He is also survived by thirteen nieces and nephews and thirteen grandnieces and grandnephews.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Leonard Church, 320 Hanover Street, Boston, on Thursday, August, 6, 2015, at 9:45 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visiting hours will be held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Wednesday, August, 5, 2015, from 4 to 8 PM. Entombment will be held in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Donations in Anthony’s memory may be made to the Italian Home for Children, 1125 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
