McCarthy, Anna R. (Brunaccini), age 91, of Jamaica Plain and Boxborough on July 24, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Jeremiah A. McCarthy, Lt. Colonel, USAR, QMC. Loving mother of daughter Annie Wilson and her husband Rob, son Gerry McCarthy and his wife Mary, son Dan McCarthy and his wife Stacey, and son Ed McCarthy and his wife Diane. Beloved sister to the late Janet Belo, Claire Rice, and the late John Brunaccini. Adoring grandmother of Tyler and Brittany Ogden, Frank and Anna McCarthy, and Drew and Colin McCarthy. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at The Forsyth Chapel of Forest Hills Cemetery, 95 Forest Hills Ave., Jamaica Plain, MA on Tuesday August 4, 2015 at 12 noon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may visit with Anna’s family from 11 am until 12 noon prior to the Funeral Service. Reception immediately following the Service. Interment in Forest Hills Cemetery at the family lot will follow for all who wish to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anna’s memory may be made to the Italian Home for Children, 1125 Centre St., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130 via checks made payable to “Italian Home for Children” or via online donations in Anna McCarthy’s honor at www.italianhome.org Anna was the World’s Greatest Mom, a fantastic Italian chef, and a tireless supporter of her four children and six grandchildren - she never missed our birthday celebrations once in her 91 years.
