McCann, Olimpia M. Went to heaven on July 21, 2015. Olimpia was born in Naples, Italy and was the youngest daughter to Gennaro and Assunta DiMatteo. In 1942, during WWII, Olimpia met and married the love of her life, Brian McCann. He was a Royal Air Force airman stationed in Italy. After the war they moved to Brian's hometown in Ireland for a few years and then onto America, where they settled into the Boston/Dedham area. They were blessed with 60 years of love and laughter in marriage until his death on July 21, 2001.
Olimpia loved everyone she encountered. She was fun-loving and youthful in spirit. She loved life itself. She enjoyed cooking, shopping for the perfect ensemble, traveling and especially spending time with family and friends. She will always be remembered and live in our hearts forever.
