David A. Rose

David A. Rose passed away peacefully at Tufts Medical Center in Boston after a long illness. He was 80. A Medford resident for his whole life, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Phyllis (Fernald) Rose. David served in the Army during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge, David worked as an electrician at the Charlestown Navy Yard and later became Chief of Maintenance with the National Park Service and retired in 2000 with 45 years of service.


The beloved husband of the late Lorraine A. (Christopher) Rose, who passed away in 2000, he was a loving father to Karen L. Rose of Medford. He was the dear brother of the late Kenneth Rose and leaves his extraordinary brother-in-law of Kenneth and his wife Bernadette Christopher of Medford. He was a dear uncle to Kenneth, Kevin and Brian Christopher.

His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Monday, August 3rd at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4 - 8 PM.
