Gilford-----Nelson Joseph Perron, 80 of 343 Old Lake Shore road, died at home after a lengthy illness on July 24, 2015.
Nelson was born on April 28, 1935 in Bristol, son of the late Frank and Rose (Nadon) Perron. Before moving to Gilford he was a long time resident of Bradford, NH where he moved in 1990 after retiring from Saint Paul's School as the maintenance supervisor where he worked for almost two decades.
Nelson will be remembered for his love of Harley Davidson's, and being a collector of all things, including Western Movies, guns, clocks, and record albums. He made friends wherever he went. His family and friends will always remember him for his friendly nature and sense of humor.
Nelson is survived by his loving wife of forty five years, Elizabeth "Betty" Perron (Fogg), a son Nelson F. Perron of Loudon, Rose M. Turner of Laconia, Rebecca Bryan of Texas, Rhonda Dubois of Gilford, Robin Floyd of Franklin; three step daughters, Margaret Batstone of Belmont, Phillis Mayville of Weare and Susan Barksdale of Hooksett; two brothers, Robert Perron Richard Perron; two sisters, Beatrice Millette and Florence Soare, thirty grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his son, Robert A. Perron and a brother, Frank Perron.
A Celebration of life will be Sunday, August 2, 2015 1:00pm-5:00pm with a Memorial Service at 2:00pm all at the Beane Conference Center, 35 Blueberry Lane, Laconia, NH.
