Margaret Costa, age 91, of Fall River, passed away on July 28, 2015 at Charlton Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of the late William Costa. Born in Bristol, RI she was the daughter of the late Cataldo and Josephine (Teleda) Catalano. Margaret was a parishioner at St. Michael’s church. She was a very active volunteer for the church, especially for their soup kitchen. She loved to go shopping and spending time with her family, most of all with her sister-in-law Lena Ramsay.
Margaret leaves behind her son Lionel Costa of Fall River; grandchildren Charlotte Martins (husband Mitchell), Rachel Sousa (husband Mario) and Christopher Durand; great-grandchildren Jacob and Jared Martins and Zachary and Tiffany Sousa. She was predeceased by her children William Costa Jr. and Theresa M. Medeiros; siblings Frank, Nicholas, Michael, and Vincent Catalano and Victoria Proto.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Friday here at 11 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Michael’s Church at 12 P.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours on Thursday from 5-8 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com.
