Eleanor Ann (Walsh) Jamieson passed away peacefully on July 22, 2015 in Boston, MA at the age of 90. Born in 1925 to John and Eva Walsh, Eleanor and her sister Irene (predeceased) grew up in Paterson, New Jersey. She worked at Curtiss-Wright Corporation where she met her future husband, Norton Jamieson. Married in 1945, they lived in New Jersey, Maine, and New York where she was actively involved in professional theater. She is survived by her two daughters, Ellen Jamieson and Anne McCarthy; her son-in-law, Daniel McCarthy; her two grandchildren, Sara and David McCarthy; and several nieces and nephews.
A burial service will be held at the Brooklawn Cemetery at 2002 Congress St, Portland, ME on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Historical Society, Long Island, ME or the Ronald MacDonald House, Portland, ME.
