Ronnie Roy of Berkley, Ma passed away on the evening of July 25, 2015 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous 4 year battle with cancer. Ronnie was 43 years old. His loving wife Jessica Roy (Sandbichler) and his children Veronica Lynn and Jathan Steven were by his side as he fought and set a true example of courage and dignity. Along with his wife and children, he is survived by his father Leon Roy, his sister Nancy Jovette Roy and his brother Steven Leon Roy and his wife Sheena. In addition, Ronnie leaves behind nieces and nephews as well as a large extended family and many dear friends. Ronnie will be forever remembered for his work ethic, sense of humor and loyalty to family and friends.
Ronnie was born on November 2, 1971 in Plymouth, Ma, son of Leon Roy and the late Jovette Roy. He was a graduate of Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School in Rochester and later graduated from Quinsigamond College to earn his Associates Degree. Ronnie was an extraordinarily hard worker, owning and operating a successful business, Roy Drywall, as well as having several talents in the construction industry. His beautiful home was the ultimate example of those gifts.
When the work was over Ronnie was as laid back a guy as you could get, spending time with his wife and children. He loved to watch and play hockey and he also enjoyed riding dirt bikes and hanging out with his brother and close friends. Most all of, Ronnie was devoted to his family, his faith in God and the Bible’s future promises as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Cremation will take place at Woodlawn-North Purchase Crematory in Attleboro. A Memorial Talk will be held on Sunday August 2, 2015 at 4pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 535 Williams St, North Dighton, Ma 02764. Taunton Funeral Home 8 Crapo St (off Tremont St./Route 140) is honored to serve the Roy family as they celebrate Ronnie’s life.
