WEBSTER – Mary L. (Mikolajczak) Levitre, 85, died peacefully with family at her side on July 20th, while a resident at Lanessa Extended Care. Her husband of 20 years, Ernest J. Levitre, died in 1987.
She leaves 4 children, Bernard F. Damian of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Christine B. Ryan and her husband Steven of North Grafton, Cynthia M. Thibeault and her husband Ronald of Thompson, CT and John E. Levitre and his wife Stacey of Spring Hill, FL; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandsons; 2 brothers, Thomas Mikolajczak of Dudley and Joseph Mikolajczak of Webster; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Michael S. Damian in 1977 and Timothy J. Damian in 1979, and by 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
She was born and raised in Dudley, the youngest daughter of Stanley and Bridget (Rybacki) Mikolajczak and had lived in Webster since 1988. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1948.
Mrs. Levitre was a cutter at Cranston Print Works retiring after 17 years. She then held various part-time positions at Price Chopper where she enjoyed and cherished making close friends. “Mary L.” had a unique way of leaving the young and old always smiling. She enjoyed the outings to the casino with her Price Chopper friends.
She was a member of Saint Anthony of Padua Church in Dudley, the Saint Anne Society, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Silver Dippers. She enjoyed bingo, her special weekly coffee club and especially Maine vacations with her family.
The funeral will be held Friday, July 31, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Road, Dudley. Burial will be in Corbin Cemetery, Dudley. Visitation will be from 8:30 to 10:30 Friday morning in the funeral home.
