Walter A. Bean, age 73, of Swansea passed away on Friday July 24, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Natalie (Oliveira) Bean and son of the late Maurice and Pauline (Brown) Bean. He was a manager for Douglas Drug and several Building 19 Stores. Walter was a member of the Swansea Knights of Columbus, enjoyed going to Foxwoods, traveling, fishing, and coaching baseball.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children; Kenneth A. Bean (wife Sherry), Kyle Winderlick (wife Lisa), Heidi Kuliga (husband Bob), Ann Jameson (husband Shawn), Amy and Jennifer Bean, siblings; Nelson Bean and Cynthia Emery, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Tuesday here at 10 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Dominic’s Church at 11 A.M. Interment in Rural Cemetery in New Bedford. Calling hours on Monday from 4-7 P.M.
