Obituary

Our beloved daughter, Nicole Christine Pearcy, 35, lost her battle with ovarian cancer on July 19, 2015. She is in the hands of The Lord and is no longer in pain. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Kenneth Foulks; paternal grandmother, Norma Pearcy; step-grandparents, Ben and Pat Wilkins; and step-sister Sara Wilkins.
Nicole was born July 1, 1980 in Whittier, California. She grew up in Orange and Riverside Counties until 1986. She relocated to Ventura and attended Holy Cross and Blanche Reynolds Elementary Schools, Anacapa Middle School, and Buena High School. She graduated from El Camino High School in 1999.
Nicole was very spiritual, enjoyed poetry and reading about Angels. She also like camping, a good crime story, and the ocean. She was a HUGE Broncos fan and loved to banter back and forth with fans of other teams. It was always about Elway until Manning came along. She loved the movie The Wizard of Oz and could recite the whole dialogue since the age of 5. This movie was instrumental in her love of film and wanting to pursue acting. She also loved the movie Tombstone and then it was all about Val Kilmer. This movie created a new interest in the Old West. She strongly felt that she lived during that era in a previous life.
Since she was the oldest of 13 cousins, she was always like their big sister. She had a special bond with each one of them, and would drop everything to listen to their problems. She loved them all so much. Nicole had a beautiful smile and will always be remembered as a loving, caring, devoted granddaughter, daughter, sister, Aunt, cousin, niece, friend, and co-worker.
Nicole is survived by her grandfather Wayne Pearcy (Gwen), grandmother Dorothy Foulks, father Joel Pearcy, mother Rockie Wilkins & step-daddy Steve Wilkins, brother Joel Pearcy (Tawni), nephews Joel and Colton Pearcy, best friend and soul sister Caitlin Waltzer, numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, friends, and co-workers.
Her end of life celebration will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015, 3PM at the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura. A reception will be held immediately afterward at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, in the Santa Cruz Room. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
