Doyle --- Catherine Marie of West Roxbury, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015 after a long illness. In 1946 she graduated with Highest Honors from Newton Country Day School of the Sacred Heart. She was in the first graduating class from Newton College of the Sacred Heart, where she was Class President for four years. Catherine Marie “Kate” worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts where she retired from the Banking Department as a Bank Examiner. She was also an active member of the Daughters of the Revolution, Contentment Chapter.
Catherine Marie is the daughter of the late Frederick T. Doyle Sr. and Katherine S. Doyle of West Roxbury, sister of the late Judge Frederick T. Doyle Jr., Representative Charles R. Doyle and Richard M. Doyle Sr. all of West Roxbury. She is survived by William J. Doyle Sr. of West Falmouth, Norbert S. Doyle Sr. of Blue Bell, PA; Edward F. Doyle Sr. of Needham and Anne M. Doyle of Brighton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews as well as numerous friends. A genuine lady who is loved by all and will be truly missed.
Funeral from the Robert J. Lawler and Crosby Funeral Home 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury, on Monday, July 27, at 9:00am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Theresa of Avila Church at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
