Roland R. Chapdelaine, 81, formerly of Social St, died Sunday July 19th in Oakland Grove Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Rolland and Lillian (Poirier) Chapdelaine. Mr. Chapdelaine was a veteran of the Korean War Era. He later worked as a machinist for Crosby Valve for many years retiring in 1988. He was an avid Red Sox and hockey fan. He also enjoyed attending many of the Mt. St. Charles hockey games.
He is survived by two daughters; Donna Bibeault of Woonsocket, and Debra Remillard and her husband Marc of Essex, VT, five grandchildren; Shelly, Jared, and Ryan Bibeault, Nicole and Kelly Remillard and one great grandson; Ryan Bibeault II. He also leaves a brother; Edgar Chapdelaine and his wife Jeannette of North Smithfield.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery.
