Dennis J. O'Hearn, a longtime resident of Somerville and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston following a valiant and courageous battle with cancer. He was 60 years old.
Dennis was born in Boston on January 4, 1955, a son of the late Peter O'Hearn and Flora (O'Brien) O'Hearn. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School. Dennis has been working as a chef at the Mount Vernon Restaurant on the Charlestown/Somerville line for over 37 years.
Dennis is the beloved father of Danielle Patturulli and her fiancé James Marsh. He is the beloved grandfather to Aaron Marsh and Jess Patturulli. He is the devoted brother to Kathleen Correnti, Kevin O'Hearn, Colleen Bowman, Jeanine O'Brien, Patrick O'Hearn, Sylvia "Tooka" Lauziere, Andrew O'Hearn and the late Peter John O'Hearn. He is the loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass for Dennis on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 11 A.M. in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. There will be no funeral home visiting hours and burial will be private.
