Obituary

LACONIA – Ellen T. Marceau, 57, of 13 Andrews Avenue, Weirs Beach, died Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.
Born in Teaneck, NJ on February 2, 1958, she was the daughter of Theodore and Mary (Daley) Angermann. Ellen grew up in Bogota, NJ and graduated from Immaculate Heart Academy in Washington Township, NJ in 1976. She also graduated from Holy Name Hospital School of Nursing in 1979. In 1979, Ellen began working at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia as a Registered Nurse, beginning as a psychiatric nurse, then in pain management and finally as a care manager. In 2015, she received her 35 year pin from LRGH.

Ellen loved her summers at Weirs Beach, boating, swimming and family gatherings in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and New Jersey. She also loved her annual vacations with her cousin Brian and his family to Disney World, Myrtle Beach, SC and her favorite; Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA. She also loved attending her sons’ Chris and James sporting and school sponsored events and was a regular volunteer in the Laconia Little League Concession Stand. Finally she loved to help to make meals and volunteering at Holy Trinity Catholic School in Laconia. Her most cherished moments were the arrival of her sons’ Christopher and James.

Ellen is survived by her devoted husband of 30 years, Roger L. Marceau Jr., her loving sons; Christopher T. and James M. Marceau and her beloved dog Lucky, all of Laconia, her sister, Catherine Sanborn and her husband David of Rutherford, NJ, her brother, Francis Bertino of Bangor, PA, her nephews; Robert Wilkins of Hillsdale, NJ, Michael Wilkins of Paramus, NJ and her niece Mary Sanborn of Rutherford, NJ, her aunt, Ann Delaney and her husband Bob of Melrose, MA, her uncle Edward Morrissey of Cambridge, MA, her cousins; Brian Morrissey and his wife Katherine of Nashua, Edward Morrissey and his wife Theresa of Medford, MA, Robert Morrissey and his wife Cheryl of Billerica, MA, Mary Beth Dalton and her husband Tom of Marshfield, MA, Carol Ann Campagna and her husband David of Melrose, MA, Michael Hinkley and his wife Catherine of Stow, MA, Debbie Randolph and her husband Jay of SC, Catherine Harris of Bellingham, MA and Billy and Debbie Collins of Milford, NH. She was adored by her cousins’ children who referred to her as Auntie Ellen.

Calling hours will be held from 3PM to 7Pm on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Monday, July 20, 2015 at St. Andre Bessette Parish - St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia.

Burial will follow in the family plot at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia.
