New Bedford – Theresa Meaney, age 89, passed away on Tuesday July 14, 2015 at Hathaway Manor Extended Care Facility. She was the widow of James Meaney and the daughter of the late Theresa A. (Anderly) and James R. O’Mara.
Born in this area she moved to Florida where she lived for the past 32 years. Mrs. Meaney worked as an Office Manager in the trucking industry as well as McDonald’s. Theresa was an extremely hard worker, working until she was 82 years of age.
Her family includes her daughter, Patricia Rebello and her husband, Manuel, of Dartmouth, a brother, Robert O’Mara and his wife, Cynthia, of Florida; 4 grandchildren: Lisa, Robert, Manuel and Traci; as well as 5 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren
Mrs. Meaney will be cremated and a service held in the funeral home will take place a date and time to be determined. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, MA.
