Neil A. Gaeta passed away in the company of his loving family after a lengthy illness. He was 83. Neil was raised in Medford, the son of the late Domenic and Caroline (Palumbo) Gaeta. Neil graduated from Tufts University and went on to earn a Master's Degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Master's Degree in Public Health at Harvard University. He enjoyed a long career with the Food and Drug Administration. In 1986 he began his own consulting firm which he operated until his retirement in 2011. A life-long Medford resident, Neil was a parishioner at St. Raphael Parish.

The devoted husband of Patricia (Lacaria) Gaeta, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage, Neil was a loving father to Caroline Gaeta and her husband James Gatto of Whitefish Bay, WI, Domenic Gaeta of Charlestown, Thomas Gaeta and his wife Ann of Whitefish Bay, WI, Mary Sanger and her husband Todd of Indianapolis, IN. He was the beloved grandfather of Michael, Matthew, Andrew, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Harrison and Spencer. He was the dear brother of Lucille Matricaria and her husband Ronald of Scottsdale, AZ, the late Agnes Leo and Celia Polli, and the brother-in-law of Thomas Lacaria and his wife Christine of Gilbert, AZ. Neil also leaves many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday July17th. at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday, 4 – 8 PM.
