Janet J. Mitchell, passed away Friday in the Northwood Rehab in Lowell. She was 79. Born in Medford, she was the daughter of the late Mildred (Butters) and Irwin Rogers. She was a life-long resident of Medford who was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

The beloved wife of Raymond Mitchell, she was a devoted mother to Debbie Marino and husband John of Chelmsford, Cheryl Callahan of Dracut, Maureen Mitchell-Tardiff and her husband Allan of Tewksbury, Michael Mitchell and wife Stefanie of Lowell, and Grace-Marie Mitchell of Dracut. She was the loving grandmother of David, Bobby, Diane, Jakob, Michaela, Darryl and Willow. She was an adored great grandmother of Cassidy, Keira, Jack and Lillian. She was a dear sister of Fred Rogers of Maine and the late Irene Fulgione.

A funeral service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford Thursday at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Relatives are friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family on Wednesday 4-8 PM.
