FALL RIVER… Raymond J. Dumont, 61, of Fall River passed away July 10th at Kimwell Rehab. & Skilled Nursing Home.
Born in St. Luce, Quebec, Canada, he was a son of the late Paul A. Dumont and Bertha (Michaud) Dumont Pineau and had moved to Fall River in 1962.
He was a communicant of St. Bernadette’s Parish, Fall River and worked as a machine operator for Union Group in Fall River for 25 years before retiring due to illness in 2013. He enjoyed singing, playing guitar, the lottery, fishing, candy, riding his bike, hockey and was a fan of the Washington Nationals, Nascar and Boston Red Sox. The family would like to thank Kimwell Nursing Home and Hospice for the fine care Raymond received.
Survivors include 5 sisters: Pauline A. Levesque, Jacqueline Amaral, Louise Durand, Helene Sullivan & Marina O’Grady, all of Fall River, 3 brothers: Jacques J. Dumont, Dennis J. Dumont & Francois’ J. Dumont, all of Fall River, a step-sister: Terrie Arnold of Freetown 2 step-brothers: Donald Pineau of Fall River & Henry Pineau of SC, many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Jean Baptiste Dumont.
At the request of the family, services will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, MA 02723.
