Obituary

James (Jim) Joseph Mulrennan passed away on July 4, 2015 after a brief illness. Born May 24, 1932 in Boston, MA, Jim grew up in Boston and joined the Navy, becoming a veteran of the Korean War. A graduate of Boston College, he first worked as an accountant for the Government Accounting Office, moving on to various regional and national accounting firms. In 1961, Jim became a Certified Public Accountant and in 1971 started his own firm, James Mulrennan and Company in Londonderry, NH. He retired from this firm in 2002. Jim was trustee emeritus of Pinkerton Academy in Derry, former president of two Rotary Clubs and former Treasurer and Director of Fairways Four Condominium Association in Melbourne, FL where he served for the last 13 years.
He and his first wife, Lillian (Ratay) of Derry, NH, had three children – Michael, Brian and James. Lillian died in 1974 and Jim remarried in 1990 to Pauline Tomaselli. She has five children, Kathryn Catalfamo (Frank), Joseph (Debra), Kevin (Becky), Steven, and Gina Maki (Bryan). In addition to his beloved wife Pauline, Jim leaves behind 8 children, 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Jim joins his Mom and Dad and his first wife Lillian in heaven.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Monday, July 27th at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry. The burial will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery in E. Derry. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ascension Catholic School Endowment Fund, 2950 N. Harbor City Boulevard, Melbourne, FL.
