Obituary

Mary T. Jones of Pawcatuck died Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at home. Mrs. Jones was born on July 30, 1928, the daughter of Antonio and Nancy Dinoto.
She was married to Calvin L. Jones for 66 years.

Mary is survived by two sons, Thomas and his wife Susan Jones of Lusby, Maryland, and Robert Jones of Redwood City, California; four grandchildren, Nathan, Amanda, Elliot and Henry; three great grandchildren, Olivia, Addison and Andrew; a sister, Josephine O'Briant; and many nieces and nephews. Mary had an especially close and loving relationship with her niece Joanne Lindeborg of Pawcatuck.

She was predeceased by her parents as well as two brothers, Angelo and Thomas Dinoto, and two sisters, Rosalie Nadeau and Connie Ritter.

Mary was a member of the Daughters of Isabella of St. Michael's Church, the Winnapaug Golf Club, the American Contract Bridge League, and president of the Pawcatuck Lioness Club. She was an avid bridge player and golfer. No one could beat her at the game of Scrabble. In recent years, she played bridge online with partners worldwide and kept her scrabble skills sharp online playing Words with Friends. She traveled extensively on several continents with her husband who retired from the US Navy.

Family and friends are invited to a calling hour on Monday, July 13, from 9 to 10am at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic, followed by a procession to a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00am at St. Mary's Church in Stonington Borough. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Pawcatuck.
