Survived by his loving wife, Joan of 60 years, devoted companion & best friend; proud father of Julie Nielsen (Gregg), Jodie Westberg (Rick), James, John (Mary), Jenny McPhillips (Andy); cherished grandpa of Gina Anderson (Ryan), Brent Nielsen (Kore), Erick Westberg (Ashley), Joe Nielsen, Lindsey Nielsen, Madeline, Claire, Julia, Emily, Lillian McPhillips, Ava, Gavin McPhillips, Dylan McPhillips; 5 great grandchildren; brother of Rosemary. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday (July 9, 2015) 11:00 AM at CHURCH OF ST. PETER, 2600 N. Margaret St., North St. Paul. Private Family Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to the Mass at the church. His unselfish love of others was beautiful to observe. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Church of St. Peter.
