Evelyn McLean Pridgen, 90, of Brunswick, died Sunday, July 5, 2015, at Sears Manor in Brunswick.
Graveside services will be held 4 PM, Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Harold Turner officiating.
Mrs. Pridgen was born July 11, 1924, in Pridgen, Georgia to the late John J. & Wootie Pridgen McLean. She was a homemaker and will be remembered by her family and friends as being a fervent prayer warrior. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was an excellent cook, specializing in homemade biscuits, apple tarts, and date nut cakes. She moved to Brunswick from Fitzgerald nine years ago to be closer to her daughter. She was a member of Marshes of Glynn Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children: Linda Pridgen Fletcher of Brunswick, Gary Pridgen and his fiancé Debbie Davis of Port St. Joe, Florida, and Kenny Pridgen and his fiancé; Sue Futch of Broxton; grandchildren: Nicole F. & William David Hamilton, Brandi Alison Fletcher, Andy & Tia Pridgen, Jacob & Jodi Pridgen, Kody Bo Pridgen, and Toby Cole Pridgen; great-grandchildren: Kaylin Pridgen, Wyatt Pridgen, Judd Pridgen, and Jaci Pridgen; two sisters: Christine Young of Wray and Winnie Sapp of Hamilton, North Carolina; and a brother, Charles McLean of Pridgen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Gilmore Pridgen; a sister, Janie Alta Dyer; and a brother, Buddy McLean.
