Evelyn (Dagiel) Curley, 89, of Peabody died July 5 at the Lahey Clinic.
Born in Ipswich, the daughter of the late Emil and Teofila (Sharys) Dagiel and wife of the late William J. Curley. Raised in Ipswich and moved to Lynn at a very young age and was educated in the Lynn school system. She was employed as a medical receptionist for Dr. Harry Orris in Lynn for more than 20 years prior to retirement. She was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church until its closing. She had been a resident of Peabody for more than 20 years.
Evelyn is survived by her three children, Anita F. Spina, of Raleigh, N.C., Susan M. Shippy of Atlantis, Fla., and Pamela L. Wilson of Lynn; her five grandchildren, Dina Trippett, David Trippett, Lisa Sindoni, Nicole Spina and Erica Spina; five great-grandchildren, Joey and Michael DeLuca, Maegan Sindoni, Noah Thayer and Giovanna O’Neto; and one great-great-grandchild, Mya Surprenant. She was the sister of the late Gertrude Drachun and Jeanette Archis.
Service information: Relative and friends are invited to attend her funeral from the NADWORNY FUNERAL HOME, 798 Western Ave., Lynn, on Friday, July 10 at 8 a.m., followed by her Mass of Christian Burial in St. Pius V Church, Lynn, at 9 a.m. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lynn. Visiting hours Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
