EAST TAUNTON – Edward O’Donnell of East Taunton, son of the late Henry E. and Marie V. (Glynn) O’Donnell, died at Good Samaritan Hospital on July 2, 2015.
He was 65.
Born in Brookline and raised in Randolph, Edward graduated Randolph High School, Class of 1967 and later served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Avon, MA, later serving as Postmaster in Fairfield, CT.
He retired in 2004.
Edward moved to the Taunton area several years ago.
Survivors include a son, Kevin O’Donnell and his partner Jennifer Anderson of Swansea; two daughters, Kerry Twohig and her husband Brendon of Taunton, and Stacey O’Donnell of Fall River; a brother, Daniel O’Donnell and his wife Pamela of Randolph; two sisters, Patricia Ferrini and her husband Paul of Plymouth, and Theresa Morton of New Bedford; his sister-in-law, Catherine O’Donnell of Raynham; seven grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his former wife, Evelyn (Gall) Madigan of Fall River.
He was also the brother of the late Thomas O’Donnell.
Graveside Services will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on Wednesday, July 8th at 11:15 a.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling hours will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Tuesday, July 7th from 5 to 8 p.m.
