Laconia-----Douglas Mitchell Richter, 92, died on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at the Laconia Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Laconia.
Doug was born August 17, 1922 in Medford, Mass., the son of Alfred and Katherine (Mitchell) Richter. A WW2 Veteran, he served in the United States Navy. Doug worked as an area manager for Exxon, in New England, for many years.
Doug is survived by two sons; Robert A. Richter, of Belmont, NH and Douglas M. Richter Jr. of Braintree, Mass; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife June Richter who died in 2009 and by his sister Helen Hanson who died in 2013.
There will be no calling hours.
A private family service will be held later in July.
