Esther L. Lopes (Baptiste) a resident of Raynham passed away peacefully on the afternoon of June 29, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Ms. Lopes was 83 years old. She was the beloved mother of Lorraine Matheus, Walter Lopes and Stephen Lopes. She was the proud grandmother of Ryan Lopes and Jillian Matheus. Esther also had several siblings and many dear friends. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
Esther was born on March 27, 1932 in Taunton, the daughter of the late Francisco and Josephine Elvira Baptiste (Costa). She attended Taunton schools and worked as a secretary for many years. Ms. Lopes was a woman who loved her family with all of her heart. She was a great mother and loved being a grandmother. A true people person, Esther helped anyone she could and enjoyed being around her friends.
