Francesca (Prestera) Badolato of Somerville, "Meatball Queen of Limoncello's Restaurant," died Sunday, June 28, at Tufts Medical Center of Boston. Born in Montepaone, Calabria, Italy she was the daughter of the late Gregorio and Innocenza (Pirro) Prestera.

Francesca was the beloved wife of the late Alfredo Badolato and the devoted mother of Raffaele Badolato and his wife Lidia of Medford, Gregorio Badolato of Somerville, Maurizio Badolato of Boston's North End, Sergio Badolato of Somerville, Corrado Badolato of Derry, NH, Luisa Badolato and her fiancé Steven Langis of Somerville. She was the loving grandmother of Alfredo, Victoria, Rachel, Alfred, Alessandra and Stephanie Badolato, and cherished sister of Vincenzo Prestera and his wife Pina of Wayland, and the late Teresa and Nina. Francesca is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Wednesday, July 1, at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday, June 30, from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
