John J. "Jack" Carmody Jr., a 12 year resident of Somerville and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Friday, June 26, 2015 at his home in Somerville. He was 52 years old.
Jack was born in Boston on September 7, 1962, a son of the late John J. Carmody and Jeannette M. (DeBeaucourt) Carmody. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Boston Latin High School in 1981. Jack furthered his education at Tufts University and Suffolk University. Jack worked as a dispatcher and deliverer for Dining-In of Boston for several years. Jack enjoyed all Boston sports especially the Patriots and Bruins.
Jack is the devoted brother of Gerard F. Carmody and his wife Carolyn of Milton and Edward J. Carmody of Albany, New York. He is the loving uncle to Caitlin, Meghan, Joseph, Molly and Erin. He is the loving Godson to Lorraine Florentino and nephew to Richard DeBeaucourt.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jack's Funeral Mass on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 11 A.M. Burial is private. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
