Richard J. Moniz age 80, of Fall River, passed away on June 17, 2015. He was the loving husband of Maureen Joan (Rival) Moniz and son of the late Manuel and Minnie (Alves) Moniz. Richard was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, a bus driver for Citizens for Citizens Head Start Program, a Constable for the City of Fall River, and a Notary Public. He was also a former member of the Blue Knights, NRA, an avid golfer, and enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children; Tammy M Torres (husband Ray), Tracy M. Leger, Tanya Lee Wilbur (husband Adam), and Tara Lee Wood (husband John), grandchildren; Shannon, Tiffany, Shawn, Starr, Christian, and Kayelyn, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Robert and Ronald Moniz

His calling hours will take place in the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on TUESDAY from 5-7 P.M.
