Diamantina (Paváo) Gonsalves, age 92 of Fall River, passed away on June 23, 2015 with her loving family by her side. Born in Ajuda da Bretanha, São Miguel, Açores, she was the wife of the late Jose Gonsalves Sardinha and the daughter of the late Jose Raulino Paváo and Antonia deJesus Paváo. She was a homemaker at home.
She is survived by her children: Maria Conceicao Goncalo, Ana Costa, Lourdes Rego, Jose Goncalo, & Carlos Gonsalves all of Fall River; sister: Mariana Raulino of São Miguel, Açores; 18 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Fatima Medeiros.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on FRIDAY at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Espirito Santo Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
